Ask Outrigger (⌘k)

Some answers are spread across several pages: where your latest audit stands, which prompts mention a competitor but not you, which citation opportunities score highest. Ask Outrigger pulls those answers together in plain English.

What it is

A chat panel that opens with ⌘K (Ctrl+K on Windows) or the Ask Outrigger button in the dashboard header. It's a Claude tool-use loop with nine read-only tools:

• search_product_help: the in-app guide to every dashboard section
• list_clients: the active brands in your workspace
• query_visibility: recorded AI Monitor results for a time window
• query_threads: saved citation opportunities
• query_competitor_gaps: recorded prompts where a competitor was mentioned and your brand wasn't
• query_offpage: the two latest off-page snapshots
• query_audit_results: your latest completed audit, with the same labels the dashboard shows
• query_attributions: saved threads whose URLs appeared as sources in AI answers
• query_recommended_playbook: next steps taken from your latest audit's lowest measured areas

You ask in plain English. It picks the tools, reads your data and answers with the numbers it found. When a brand is selected, it only reads that brand.

What to ask

• "How is my brand doing in its latest audit, and what isn't measured yet?"
• "Which prompts mention a competitor but not my brand?"
• "Which citation opportunities have the highest opportunity score?"
• "What should I work on next, based on my latest audit?"
• "What's the difference between Video and Content, and where should I start?"

It answers from what Outrigger has recorded. If an audit was partial, it says so. If two audits can't be compared, it won't claim a trend. If something isn't measured yet, it tells you rather than guessing.

The panel keeps your conversation while you move between pages for the same brand. Switching brands, changing Basic or Advanced mode, or reloading the page starts a new conversation. Past conversations can't be reopened from the panel yet.

What it won't do

Ask Outrigger only has read tools. It doesn't approve proposals, start audits or scans, send messages, publish anything or change settings. When you want to act, it points you to the right page and you decide there.

Sending a question uses metered assistant processing. It doesn't use your workspace credits.

Rate limits

Each workspace can send 30 questions a minute. If you hit the limit, wait a minute and try again.
