Audits vs Sonar

How a point-in-time AI Visibility Audit differs from ongoing Sonar prompt tracking.

AI Visibility Audit

An AI Visibility Audit is a point-in-time check across six areas: Citations, AI Presence, Entities, Reviews, Press, and On-Page (Reviews can be excluded when not applicable to a business). It produces a 0–100 score and an action plan. Run one when you set up a brand and again after you finish a batch of improvements.

Sonar (AI Monitor)

Sonar is ongoing prompt tracking. Once enabled on an active paid plan, it runs your tracked questions on your plan's recurring schedule across OpenAI API diagnostics, Perplexity API diagnostics, Gemini API diagnostics, Anthropic API diagnostics, Google AI Overview collector (provisional) and records whether your brand or competitors are mentioned and which sources are cited. It does not change your 0–100 audit score.

Visibility Overview

The Visibility overview brings both together so you can open your latest audit score and check recent Sonar prompt answers from one place.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Sonar change my 0–100 AI Visibility Score?

No. Your 0–100 score comes from an AI Visibility Audit across your eligible areas. Sonar tracks how AI services answer your saved prompts between audits.

Why isn't Sonar running automatically?

Automatic recurring checks run only when Sonar keyword tracking is enabled for the brand and your workspace has an active paid plan.
