Days 8–21: sweep the pillars
Use these two weeks to review practical work across the six learning topics. Start with verified findings from the current five eligible audit areas; Press is excluded from scoring. The schedule is a planning example, not a promise of score gains.
Week 2 (days 8–14): Entity & foundations
Days 8–9: canonical Entity & schema
Open Entity → Canonical Description. Review the AI-generated canonical. Edit until it's perfect: this becomes the source of truth deployed everywhere else.
Then open Schema Markup. Generate Organization schema (always) and FAQ schema (if the brand has an FAQ page). Send the markup to whoever owns the website with a one-line install instruction.
Day 10: llms.txt
Generate the llms.txt file in Entity. Send it to the dev team to deploy at yourdomain.com/llms.txt. Five-minute job.
Days 11–12: directory audit & quick fixes
Run the directory audit in Entity. Fix the top five "high impact / low effort" tasks:
- Claim Google Business Profile if unclaimed
- Fix LinkedIn company page description
- Standardize the brand description across all directories where you have access
- Update outdated logos
- Add the canonical URL anywhere it's missing
Day 13: first citation batch (10 threads)
Open Citations. From the queue that filled Day 7, pick the 10 highest-opportunity threads where:
- Google position is 1–10
- Thread is <90 days old
- Comment count >15
- The thread asks a real question (not a meta discussion)
Click Generate on each. Review all 30 responses (3 variants × 10 threads). Pick one variant per thread. Edit until it sounds genuinely human. Mark posted as you place each one manually.
Day 14: review audit
Look at the audit's review pillar. If review velocity is the weakest signal, set up a review request campaign in Reviews. Start with post-purchase or post-service triggers if applicable.
Week 3 (days 15–21): Press foundations & more Citations
Days 15–16: Press setup
Open Press. Build your first campaign:
- Type: thought leadership or expert commentary (lowest barrier to entry)
- Generate 3 campaign ideas from the brand brief
- Pick the strongest one
- Let the platform discover relevant journalists
- Don't pitch yet: gather the list
Day 17: second citation batch (15 threads)
Same workflow as Day 13. By now you've calibrated which threads convert. Be more selective.
Day 18: first Press pitch
Pick the top 3 journalists from Press's list. Generate personalized pitches. Edit until they read like a human wrote them. Send manually.
Don't spam. Three thoughtful pitches beats thirty spray-and-pray.
Day 19: review campaign launch
If you set one up Day 14, send the first batch of review requests. Aim for 10–20 sends.
Day 20: third citation batch (15 threads)
Review the usefulness and accuracy of each contribution. A placement quota does not establish when, or whether, sampled SOM will change.
Day 21: run a mid-week monitor scan
Manually trigger a monitor run and compare the results against your Day 0 baseline to check whether prompts with newly indexed citations have started to move.
